Your starting point matters.
This article provides initial guidance. The right steps depend on your goals, systems and available resources.
List required features
Describe content scope, integrations and future extensions. Check current capabilities directly with each provider.
Plan maintenance realistically
Clarify who edits content and handles technical work. A system should fit the team's daily work, not just impress during the first design.
Compare total costs
Consider setup, recurring fees and possible changes. Also check how content and data could be transferred during a future platform switch.
A practical next step
Write down the most important open question for your business and who can address it internally. Use this to define a specific task to discuss with the people involved.
